Section C. 18 – Raffle Rules

2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery Main Ticket and Draw Information:

1. The 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery main ticket prices are a Single ticket is $100, 2-Pack price is $175, 4-Pack price is $300 and 8-Pack price is $500. Only 64,600 tickets will be sold.
2. Total retail value of prizes is $2,266,753.96 (excluding taxes) for the Main Lottery.
3. All persons participating in the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
4. The Loyalty Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday January 28, 2021 at midnight. The Loyalty Bonus draw will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draw would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
5. The Ultimate Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday February 11, 2021 at midnight. The Ultimate Bonus draw will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draw would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
6. The Early Bird cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday March 4, 2021 at midnight. The Early Bird draws will be held on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draws would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
7. The Final main ticket sales cutoff for all remaining prizes will be Thursday March 18, 2021 at midnight. All remaining main prize draws will begin on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and continue until completed. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. All draws will take place at St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draws would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
8. The Grand Prize cutoff date for ticket sales will be Thursday March 18, 2021 at midnight. The Grand Prize draw will be held on Thursday April 8, 2021 between 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draws would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
9. In the event the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery sells out prior to midnight, Thursday March 4, 2021, the following alternative draw dates will be used except for the Loyalty Bonus and the Ultimate Bonus draws as noted above. The Early Bird Prize draws will take place on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 9:30 am. All remaining main prize draws excluding the Grand Prize draw will take place on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and continue until completed. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. The Grand Prize draw will take place on Thursday March 18, 2021 between 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. All draws will take place at St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draws would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.

Grand Prize Rules

10. The Grand Prize winner will have until Friday April 16, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. In the event that the winner cannot be reached or does not indicate their selection to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation prior to 12:00 p.m. on Friday April 16, 2021, the cash option will be awarded. In the event the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery sells out prior to midnight, Thursday March 4, 2021, the Grand Prize winner will have until Monday March 29, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. In the event that the winner cannot be reached or does not indicate their selection to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation prior to 12:00 p.m. on Monday March 29, 2021, the cash option will be awarded.
11. Title transfer for Grand Prize Option 1 the Signature Home to be located at 387 Willow Creek Rd., in Winnipeg, MB would be on November 1, 2021; for Grand Prize Option 2 the J&G Homes Brandon house to be located at 25 Hanlon Crescent in Brandon, MB would be on December 1, 2021 and the J&G Homes cottage to be located at 138 South Bay Drive in Onanole, MB would be on January 15th 2022; for Grand Prize Option the BC condo located at 34C 1000 SookePoint Place in Sooke, BC, would be on March 31, 2022; for Grand Prize Option 4 the Hearth home to be located at 39 Crocker Place in Winnipeg, MB would be on February 14, 2022 and for Grand Prize Option 5 the Irwin home located at 30 Will’s Way in Winnipeg, MB would be on or before May 1, 2021.
12. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

50/50 PLUS™ Draw Info

13. 50/50 PLUS™ tickets prices are a 2-Pack for $20, 8-Pack for $40 and 30-Pack for $60 will be sold to generate a maximum of $2,100,000 in gross revenue. Winner will receive 50% of gross revenue to a maximum of $1,050,000. The 50/50 PLUS™ Minimum prize guarantee is $150,000.
14. 50/50 PLUS™ tickets can only be purchased if a 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery main ticket has been purchased.
15. The 50/50 PLUS™ ticket sales cut off is midnight, Thursday March 18, 2021 or earlier if Main tickets are sold out. The 50/50 PLUS™ draw will take place Thursday April 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draw would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
16. In the event that the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery Main tickets sell out before midnight, Thursday March 4, 2021, the draw for the 50/50 Plus™ Draw will take place on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Room C1026 409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draw would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.

Big Score Plus™

17. Big Score Plus™ ticket prices are a 2-Pack for $20, 5-Pack for $40 and 10-Pack for $60. A maximum of 156,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets purchased will be eligible for all 120 draws in the Big Score Plus™.
18. Total retail value of the Big Score Plus™ prizes is $156,000 (excluding taxes).
19. The Big Score Plus™ tickets can only be purchased if a 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery main ticket has been purchased.
20. The Big Score Plus™ ticket sales cut off is midnight, Thursday March 18, 2021 or earlier if the Main lottery tickets sell out. All Big Score Plus™ draws (except for the Big Score Final draws) will take place Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draw would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB. There will be 120 prizes awarded. Winners names will be posted on the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery website www.stbmegamillionchoices.ca in a timely manner after the draw date on April 6, 2021.
21. The Big Score Final draws will take place on Tuesday April 6, 2021 immediately after the Big Score Plus™ regular draws at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions, the draws would take place at 440 Cherrywood Road in Winnipeg, MB.
22. All Big Score Plus draw dates will remain as indicated above regardless of an early sellout.
23. There are 116 Big Score Plus Regular Winners of $1,000 Cash each.
24. There are 4 Big Score Plus Final Winners of $10,000 Cash each.

Other Rules:

25. The 50/50 Plus™ and Big Score Plus™ tickets are available for purchase by any main ticket purchaser throughout the program. The addition of 50/50 Plus™ and/or Big Score Plus™ tickets will only be accepted online at purchase.stbmegamillionchoices.ca/top-up or by phone at 1-855-256-7203 after the initial purchase and must be purchased by the ticket deadline. All purchasers will require their initial order number and postal code to add additional 50/50 Plus™ and Big Score Plus™ ticket(s) to their original order. Additional purchases will be in the name of the original ticket purchaser and will be mailed to the address on the original purchase.
26. All draws except for the Grand Prize draw, will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG). The Grand Prize draw will be made by hand using a draw drum and numbered tokens corresponding to each ticketholder in the database.
27. Each ticket purchase is issued in only one person’s name and prizes will be issued only to the name of the person on the ticket. The person whose name is on the ticket is responsible for distributing any prizes in the event of a group purchase winning. All ticket packs are considered a single purchase and all tickets are issued in one person’s name.
28. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket(s) in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s). Tickets cannot be refunded once draws commence.
29. Each winner, as a condition of accepting any prize, may be required to sign a declaration and release confirming such winner’s eligibility to participate in the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery and releasing the Foundation from all claims, which may arise from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded.
30. Tickets can only be purchased within the Province of MB. All non-residents must purchase tickets in-person at one of the ticket sale locations.
31. The 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
32. Ticket requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
33. All payments must be made in Canadian dollars.
34. A ticket is not considered purchased until a verified financial transaction is complete. Ticket requests with cheques returned for insufficient funds (NSF) will be automatically voided. The Foundation has the right to charge persons $30 to cover NSF administrative costs.
35. A complete list of all prize winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on Tuesday April 20, 2021 and a complete list of all winners will be published online at www.stbmegamillionchoices.ca in a timely manner after the final Grand Prize draw has been completed. If the lottery should sell out before midnight, Thursday March 4, 2021, a complete list of all prize winners (with the exception of the Big Score winners) will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on Tuesday April 6, 2021. Upon request to the Foundation office a listing of winners will be provided.
36. All prizes are tax-free. The 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery ticket purchases are not tax deductible and no charitable donations receipts will be issued, as per Canada Revenue Agency regulations.
37. If the Grand Prize winner chooses one of the homes as the Grand Prize option, the Land Transfer Tax and the costs of transferring the home to the winner would be borne by the Foundation.
38. The Foundation reserves the right to use winners’ names and photos in communication, promotional and media materials.
39. Members of the Board of Directors and employees of the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, employees’ household members, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery.
40. The winner of the Loyalty Bonus Draw # 1 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 24, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winner for the cash option value.
41. The winners of the Ultimate Bonus Draws # 2 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 10, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winners for the cash option value.
42. The winner of the Early Bird Draw # 3 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 31, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winner for the cash option value. Title transfer of the Irwin Condo located at 202-1505 Molson Street in Winnipeg, MB on or before May 1, 2021 should that choice be taken.
43. The winners of draws 3029 to 3035 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 20, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winners for the cash option value.
44. Winners of the Gift Card or Cash option prizes Draws 29-3028 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Monday June 7, 2021 to make their selection. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winners for the cash option value.
45. All unclaimed prizes become property of the 2021 Mega Million Choices Lottery after a period of three months once notification of winning tickets have been sent by mail or by email followed by one telephone call.
46. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address on their ticket is correct.
47. Each ticket is eligible to win one prize in each prize category. A Prize category is defined as each group of identical prizes on the official list of prizes. After each prize category draw is completed, all tickets go back in the draw for the next prize category draws.
48. All prizes must be accepted as awarded.
49. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated in any advertising.
50. Winners may be required to present picture identification to claim their prize.
51. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse purchasers.
52. All ticket holders have the right to witness the draws. Draws will be video recorded and available to all ticket holders for viewing on our website at www.stbmegamillionchoices.ca. In the event we are forced to move our regular location of the draws, a notice will be provided on our website prior to the applicable draw(s).
53. All main prize draws will be drawn in order of ascending retail value.
54. The liability of the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.
